New college cricket pitch at Storrington

Grant - £3,500

RYDON Community College is a local community secondary school for 10 to 13 year olds and a community education centre for adult learning. Its existing artificial cricket pitch is very old and worn, and has been condemned as unsafe. A new pitch is now required for long term use together with a mobile net cage.

The school has no permanent square, so the artificial pitch is both the practice and match pitch. Currently, the school has to play its matches elsewhere. Girls are also offered cricket as an option and local church teams will also use the pitch.
